IS SOCIAL MEDIA HEALTHY TO THE YOUTH OR IS IT SLOWLY KILLING THEM?

Frankly I want to answer that question, but I will leave it for you to answer that yourself. The world we see today is revolved around the internet but mostly communication,  back in the olden days there was no communication and we could think of all the disadvantages we had not able to speak with someone we love that is far from us. I am sure the inventors of cellphone did not think it to this extent that it would evolve this way. Now we can talk about the advantages of social media like reaching out to billions of people in the world which was not possible before, or advertising your business or expanding your brand, in fact social media is allowing me to be able to talk to you through my blog but that just the good side but what about the bad, what about the youth who have become addicted to social media.

Truthfully the social media has become a world influencer to many occasion, I can go many stories in which the social media has caused people even countries to make decision, as they say majorities win. People words have become power and somehow they have used that power to affect their lives negatively or positively. Youth are more on social media than anyone: speaking as a factor because I get more news faster than my dad and that affect them more. You are influenced by what you read or hear.

Even often times we are shut down by our opinions and backlashed for what we think, ever been on twitter and post something and be laughed at for what you say and lose self confidence in yourself or someone made a funny video of you and be made to be reminded off, or even feel down by the amount of people that follow you or likes your pictures, being jealous of the people whose life look so happy on camera.

Well I don’t like to write long words, I like to keep my reader interested and thinking, I might not have said everything but I think you got my point, even if there are more to say on this matter, there are so many benefit to social media like if Bill Gates read this and want to hire me or send me money I won’t reject but it the ability to communicate, like how the world was screaming justice for George Floyd, it brought people together. As it is said the youth carries the future but if social media is killing them like their dreams, hope and inspirations what do we do to prevent and if it is healthy for how long.
